WA: Commuters face delays as train drivers discuss EBA

PERTH, April 27 AAP - Train services in Perth will be disrupted tomorrow as drivers
attend a union meeting to discuss their latest pay offer.

Services will be suspended from 9.30am (WST) until about 2.30pm to let drivers attend
an authorised meeting of the Australian Rail, Tram and Bus Industry Union.

The meeting has been called to enable union members to consider a proposed enterprise
bargaining agreement.

Transperth has arranged rail replacement bus services to run along all lines for the
duration of the meeting.

Bosses at the Perth Transport Authority (PTA) said commuters should allow extra travelling
time, as the bus trips would take longer than the respective rail journeys.

"We expect demand to be heavy for the buses which replace the trains, so we would urge
our customers to be patient and forward-plan their travel," PTA acting chief executive
Reece Waldock said.
