POLICE are trying to determine the identity of a decomposed body that was discovered on Table Mountain two days ago while rescuers were helping an injured hiker.
Another group of hikers chanced upon the body on Africa Face, near the upper cable car station, on Wednesday and it was removed early yesterday.
Metro EMS paramedics had been helping a woman with an injured ankle walk down Platteklip Gorge when they heard that the body had been found.
They removed it from the mountain early yesterday.
