NSW Casino Authority head quits

New South Wales Premier BOB CARR says the head of the state's Casino Control Authority
Kaye LODER has resigned.

Mr CARR says he sought Ms LODER'S resignation this morning because her comments on
the Four Corners program were unacceptable.

He says the move is designed to restore confidence in the CCA.

Ms LODER told the ABC program she was sorry police had banned one of Sydney's biggest
heroin traffickers from Sydney Harbour Casino in 1997.
